Easy Crispy Kangkong | MajLife

Do you Know? 

Kangkong has beta carotene, Vitamin A, Iron, phosphorus and thiamin.

Tara luto tayo! 😊 

Dish for the Day: Crispy Kangkong 


Ingredients:

1 bundle of kangkong 

1 egg, beaten

1 cup cold water 

1/2 teaspoon salt 

1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder

1/2 cup all-purpose flour 

Cooking oil


Procedure:

Cut kangkong leaves from the stem.

Wash, Clean and pat dry.

Mix the egg, water, flour, salt and pepper in a bowl. 

Add kangkong leaves and mix until all is fully coated.

Heat oil in a pan. 

Fry the leaves until it's crispy. 

Drain Oil. Transfer in a serving dish. 

Serve with Garlic Mayonnaise Dip or Vinegar

Peanut Butter Loaf | MajLife

 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝗮𝗳

 

Ingredients:
1 Cup of Bread Mix/flour
1 Egg
Square cut of Butter (50g)
50ml Water/ Milk
Spoonfuls of Lily's Classic & Crunchy Peanut Butter 

 

Procedure:  

In a mixing bowl, mix Flour, Butter & egg then Water. Mix well.
Add our Lily's Classic and Crunchy Peanut Butter
Pre-Heat Oven for 10mins
Bake at 180° for 25mins

Top it up with #lilyspeanutbutter.
Slice, Serve and Enjoy.

Easy Churros at Home | MajLife

It's Good Friday - to Commemorate the crucification of Jesus Christ. It is a day to remember that good will always wins over evil! Hope everyone is well.

Started a SocMed break since yesterday and have a time to reflect and spend time with my Family.

I am also giving a time to blog too especially this night. This is also my way of relaxing while sitting in the bed while kids still playing at this moment. ( they had a nap at 5pm- so their up! )

but what really makes Me the happiest being at Home on this time? Making or Baking a happy Treat for my Kids.

Like this Churros that we super LOVE! It is a form sticks dough coated with sugar.

Deliciously Crispy outside, chewy and airy in the inside. Easy to make and definitely one of the best treat to make especially for my kids. We liked to dipped in a melted chocolate. It's really Yummy!

 

So Here it is, sharing you a Recipe you can also try at Home.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Vegetable Oil
  • Confectioner sugar for coating (you may add cinnamon if you want)

Procedure:

  • In a mixing Bowl, combine Flour, water, sugar and salt
  • Mix well that enough to form a Stick.
  • Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. 
  • Heat cooking oil in pan.
  • Pipe the dough to make a sticks (about 2-3 inches long).
  • Fry until it turns golden brown, both sides. 
  • Drain (use paper towels too).
  • Arrange in a plate
  • Sprinkle with Confectioners Sugar
  •  To Make Chocolate Dip: i used Chocolate buttons, put it in a stainless glass with a cup of hot water, let it melt, then transfer in a small bowl
  • Serve warm and enjoy.

Easy Carioca at Home | MajLife

𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗢𝗖𝗔.

Here's what we need :

▫️Glutinous 

▫️Coconut Milk

▫️Muscovado Sugar

Shredded Coconut - Optional 


Sharing you these quick steps

1. Combine Glutinous flour and coconut milk

(you may add shredded Coconut if you got at home) 

Mix well until a dough is formed.

2. Use spoon to Scoop a portion then form into a ball.

3. Heat now the pot with cooking oil.

(i used vegetable oil for this) 

4. Deep fry in a medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until it turns golden brown.

5. Drain excess oil. Or use a Paper towel in a plate. Set aside. 

6. Now for Caramelized :

Heat the saucepan the pour our Sugar. Add some little water or ypu may use coconut milk too. 

stir continuously until it thickens.

7. Toss our Glutinous balls to cover it all. 

Serve. Share and enjoy!

Lemon Square Cheesecake Flan | MajLife


Perfect for any occasions :

And since we can't really go out often now like before, so here is sharing you an easy to prepare Recipe,

you can make it - Anytime of the day,

If you have a sweet tooth like me , THIS IS FOR YOU. 

𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗙𝗟𝗔𝗡

this will surely love by all. 

Our Love forever with 𝙇𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙠𝙚 on it 


So let's start:

We Need:

1 Cup of Sugar (to Caramelized) 

6 egg yolks (4 eggyolks & 2 whole eggs) 

1 cup evaporated milk

1 can condensed Milk

Drops of Vanilla Extract

8 pieces of 𝙇𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙠𝙚 (crushed) 

I used 6x2' Round Baking Pan (any Molder will do) 


Directions:

Prep: 15min › Cook: 45mins› Ready in: 45 & 15min

Caramelized sugar in a Low Fire and Spread in the Molder (set aside) 

Mix egg yolks, whole eggs, condensed, evaporated milk and gently mix (use a Hand Mixer if available) until yolks are all broken and blended. Add Vanilla Extracts and lightly mix. 

Pour mixture into the mold. 

Cover with Aluminum Foil.

Place this mold into a pan filled with water.

Steam for 45mins - 1hr or until the mixture is firm.

Now, let's prepare our crushed Lemonsquare Cheesecake in a seperate pan. 

When Lecheflan is already firm, remove from the heat and spread the Crushed Lemonsquare all over. Cover again and let it steam for just about 3—5mins, it will help our Lemonsquare Cheesecake form and won't scatter. 

Let it cool for an Hour. 

It is also best to serve chilled. 

Put it in a serving plate and now Ready to serve!


With the taste that kids will surely love, even tastier using 𝙇𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙠𝙚 siksik sa cake, siksik sa pagmamahal.




Truly our Family will have the best Dessert to enjoy... Even just staying at HOME.

Chunky Chicken Caldereta | Mama Sita’s Mix | MajLife

Let's Level up our 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗸𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮.

Birthdays, Especially Fiestas, i remember way back home, CALDERETA is always the star in our table. In my generation, Mas papasarapin pa ang Authentic Chicken Caldereta na Favorite natin using the only one Mama Sita’s Meal Mixes.

And you can't say NO to it! Promise mapapa "More RICE please!'' ka pa

Here's to guide you a simple recipes on How to Cook the easiest CHUNKY Caldereta you can proud of:

Ingredients: 

- 250g Boneless Chicken (cut into 1x1.5in) 

- 2 tbsp cooking oil

- 1 Mama Sitas Caldereta Mix

- 2 cups water

- 1 tbsp garlic (chopped) 

- 1 pc onion (chopped) 

- 2 pcs tomatoes (chopped) 

- 300g carrots (diced) 

- 300g potatoes (diced) 

- 80g bell pepper (cut into triangles) 

- 75g green peas


Procedure:

1. In a Wok/Pan Heat oil anf saute’ garlic, onion and tomato. Add chicken and still-fry until the edges has browned.

2. Add Mama Sitas Caldereta mix and water then let it boil. Add potatoes and carrots , cover and simmer until it becomes tender.

3.Add red bell pepper and green peas. Cooked for about 3 more minutes.

READY, Enjoy and  serve!

Tofu Sisig ala Maxs | MajLife

Tofu Sisig, is one of my favorite dish.
its Made with fried tofu, bell peppers, and mayonnaise. 

Whenever we dine to Max's restaurants, we always have this in our order.
This is just easy to make and a budget-friendly.

It takes 25minutes to prepare and cook. 

Let's Start Cooking:

  • Tofu
  • Cooking oil
  • 1 onion, peeled and chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 small green bell peppers, chopped in cube
  • calamansi juice
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • Oyster Sauce
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste

Heat oil in a pot.
Males sure Oil is Hot enough Not to Stick Tofu. deep-fry until it turns brown /crispy. 
Remove from the pot and Drain. 
Set aside.

Now time to make the sauce:

Saute onion, garlic, bell peppers.
Add the crispy fried tofu. Stir-fry for 1 minute.
Pour Mayonnaise, then follow Oyster Sauce and Calamansi. 
Add salt and pepper to taste. (depending on your taste)

Ready to serve. 
Transfer in a Bowl.

Homemade Ice Cream Cake | #Majlife2020

It's Day 50 of #EnhancedCommunityQuarantine
how are you doin' mommies and daddies?
What you been up to at Home?

Been busy preparing for my Eldest 7th Birthday last May 1 and because We can't go out and also hesitant to order online especially food.
And since Ate Roczi requested for an Ice cream cake.. Might as well made one at Home. Yes, we're now part of #LockdownBirthday

Let me share you our Homemade Ice Cream Cake.
You will need:
15pcs Fudgee Bar (any flavor will do)
1 Pack 250ml Alaska Condensed Milk (Chilled)
2 Packs 250ml Nestlé Cream (Chilled)
20cm Masflex Round Bakeware
Mixing Bowl

Cost :
Alaska Condensed 250ml - Php.49
Nestlé All Purpose Cream 250ml - Php.58 x 2pcs
Fudgee Bar 15pcs 6/pc x Php.90
Used a Round Bakeware 20cm (good for 8— 10 people) you can use any available container at Home
Total: PHP 255.00

Crushed Fudgee Barr

Flatten in the molder
Then Refrigerate while doin the Ice cream Mixture

Pour 2 pcks of all purpose cream.
Beat until doubled
Add condensed milk.
Time to whip.

Pour the mixture. 

You may again Cover with crushed Fudgee barr
Refrigerate Overnight. 

Lets Now decorate it:

Top with Chocolate Syrup and Nips Chocolate
(you may use what's available at Home or have it Plain and simple) 

PS. Don't forget to take a Photo first, remember, pinaghirapan natin to.. Dpaat may remembrance tayo hehehe..

And Just like that.. It's definitely
Ready to Serve!!
The ice cream mixture doesn't melt easily.
The texture is so soft.
As I've observe to have it really creamy and soft Ice cream Mixture? 
More cream.. Not so Sweet just right. 



Also a DIY NO.7 Candle from my Youngest 7th month old Birthday. I really kept those candles from my daughters birthday so that I can again use it. Like this one.

This cake is Simple but my two daughter's really love the creamy taste. 
And what I love about this it's,
SUPER TIPID!



What makes it really special? 
This Cake made with LOVE.

Birthdays shouldn't be always Grand, the most important thing is that. You celebrated it with Family and that you make the Celebrant so Happy...kasi sa kanya naman talaga tong araw Na to.

Easy Tokwa't Baboy | #MajLife2020

Day 23 of #EnhancedCommunityQuarantine
Here's an effortless dish you will surely love.
Tokwa't Baboy.
Pork Liempo and fried Tofu.
I used what's available in the fridge.
vinegar and soy sauce to make it yummy.

Best Pair with Lugaw or Arroz Caldo, some love it for PULUTAN.
But this time. Ulam in the making 😊

If you wanted to have a Sweet sour and saucy. You may add a tablespoons of sugar in the mixture.
Ingredients
250g pork belly liempo
3pcs Cube tofu
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp sugar (optional)
1 pc onion sliced
Pinch of ground black pepper
2 cups cooking oil for Frying
2 cups of Water

Pour-in water in a pot,
Put-in  pork  then simmer until tender (approx 30 mins to 1 hour)

Pour cooking oil on a separate pan.
When the oil is hot, deep-fry the tofu until it turns golden brown and crispy
Slice fried tofu and pork into bite-sized pieces.
set aside
Combine sugar, soy sauce, and vinegar in bowl. Stir.
Add the ground black pepper, onions.
Pour the sauce in a serving bowl with sliced meat and Tofu.

Serve hot!

Pinoy Nachos to Crave For!


A Busy Afternoon and craving some Mexican Taste.
Nachos! Nachos! 
One thing i love about Nachos is that.. 
It can be a Snack and can actually full a Tummy, who's agreee with me!? 

While my youngest is sleeping.. I hurriedly prepare what am going to use. 
When we had grocery the other day, it was really in my list to make some Nachos at Home. 

Here is what i am going to use for my #DIYNachos Filipino Style


1 Pack of Mr Chips 
555 Tuna Flakes (drain oil) 
Cheez Whiz Pack
1 Whole Onion (white or Purple will do, sheredded) 
2 Pcs Fresh  Tomatoes (Cube) 
Oil

Sautee Onion then add Tuna Flakes until golden brown
Add some salt depends on your taste

Prepare Serving Plate and pour pack of Mr Chips
Spread Sauteed Tuna Flakes and Tomatoes
Noe its time to put some Cheez
Pair with a Glass of Coke

Servings good for 2 persons

Choco Leche Flan | #MajLife

Choco Leche Flan


I cant really deny that i love this dessert.. so much!! 
and to give it a twist.. i tried making it with a little more sweetness..
This is classic dessert who always standout in any sweets to offer.
Even little kids will definitely love this!

Just a little Trivia: Creme Cramel - in French, Custard in many countries,
and the famous Leche Flan in the Philippines. a Pinoy Dessert of all time.
its like a Crème brûlée , a baked custard made with sugar
and thickened with egg yolks but with cream


Ingredients:

Caramelized sugar

7 egg yolks

100 g sugar
1 Big can evaporated milk
1 can condensed Milk
Drops of Vanilla Extract
1 cup of chocolate syrup (hershey) - but you can also use any
chocolate syrup brand that you may

Directions:
Prep: 15min › Cook: 1hr › Ready in: 1hr15min

Line llanera or leche plan mold with caramelized sugar.
Mix egg yolks, condensed, evaporated milk and gently mix, not beat, until yolks are all broken and blended.
You may now add the Chocolate syrup and continously mixing it
Pour this mixture into the mold
Place this mold into a larger pan filled with water.
Steam for 45mins - 1hr or until the mixture is firm.

Ready to serve! ENJOY!
