Easy Churros at Home | MajLife

It's Good Friday - to Commemorate the crucification of Jesus Christ. It is a day to remember that good will always wins over evil! Hope everyone is well.

Started a SocMed break since yesterday and have a time to reflect and spend time with my Family.

I am also giving a time to blog too especially this night. This is also my way of relaxing while sitting in the bed while kids still playing at this moment. ( they had a nap at 5pm- so their up! )

but what really makes Me the happiest being at Home on this time? Making or Baking a happy Treat for my Kids.

Like this Churros that we super LOVE! It is a form sticks dough coated with sugar.

Deliciously Crispy outside, chewy and airy in the inside. Easy to make and definitely one of the best treat to make especially for my kids. We liked to dipped in a melted chocolate. It's really Yummy!

So Here it is, sharing you a Recipe you can also try at Home.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Vegetable Oil
  • Confectioner sugar for coating (you may add cinnamon if you want)

Procedure:

  • In a mixing Bowl, combine Flour, water, sugar and salt
  • Mix well that enough to form a Stick.
  • Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  • Heat cooking oil in pan.
  • Pipe the dough to make a sticks (about 2-3 inches long).
  • Fry until it turns golden brown, both sides.
  • Drain (use paper towels too).
  • Arrange in a plate
  • Sprinkle with Confectioners Sugar
  •  To Make Chocolate Dip: i used Chocolate buttons, put it in a stainless glass with a cup of hot water, let it melt, then transfer in a small bowl
  • Serve warm and enjoy.

Hope you find this interesting. Let me know what you think about this Easy Churros recipe by leaving a comment below.

What We did for Holyweek Break??
Nothings different.
Starting Holy Monday, we just stayed home. Have more play with my daughter's.
And because i have two little kids, we didn't go for Visita Iglesia like we had before,
My daughter's just came from a fever and i'm a bit scared to bring them considering the SO HOOOT Weather.

But We never forget Celebrating Lent, Watch some Lentens Shows, Stories about God. This Holyweek, it is also a moment where every family had the time to bond together and give thanks to HIM... Most especially..
And our yearly tradition since 2015, is to go for

Walkway: Reflections on the Stations of the Cross at Bonifacio High Street

A modern and creative interpretation of the age-old Christian tradition.

Here is some photos i took during our day of reflections this morning.

What i did for Lent

Its Lent once again,
This year i would like to make it more different from the past years, not totally different bad but..  will still have the old beliefs, station of the cross, just less with Visita Iglesia that we had before, we had to visit at least 7 churches plus reciting the Stations of the Cross prayer.. its part of the Filipino tradition.. it is also a moment where every family had the time to bond together and give thanks to HIM... together.
This year, one question pause me for a while, week before..

What do you have to give up on Lent?

Being online on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.. name it...) and this year.. a piece of sacrifice that anyone can do too.
IM TAKING MY OFF to THIS! a little time for SILENCE.
starting of,
April 10 - HOLY MONDAY
April 11 - HOLY TUESDAY
April 12 - HOLY WEDNESDAY
April 13 - MAUNDY THURSDAY
April 14 - GOOD FRIDAY

Sometimes we thought we cannot do such things.. but trying ?! .. by giving up something I usually enjoy on a daily basis, I have sometimes found myself longing for that thing, been tempted to give up my Lenten fast at times. But What is Just 7 days of it?!
and a lot more to be thankful for giving us every waking day to spent with our LOVED ones.. plus another blessings to come..
